Volker Brück

Director Business Development – Port Logistics

Volker Brück was born in 1966 in Siegen, Germany. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Siegen and graduated in 1993 in the field of automation technology. In the same year, he joined Siemag Transplan as a software engineer. His responsibilities included the development and commissioning of Level 2/3 management systems and the simulation of integrated logistics systems. During this time, he gained valuable practical experience on site in the complex logistics operation of large production plants.

Since the end of the 90s, the execution of planning and simulation studies in the field of the development of holistic logistics concepts, including profitability analyses, has been a focal point of his activities. In his planning and consulting activities he can look back on numerous successfully completed big scale projects with international manufacturers in the steel and aluminium industry such as ArcelorMittal, ThyssenKrupp, Dragon Steel, Corus and SAPA.

He is currently responsible for the development and market introduction of new technology products as part of his business development activities for AMOVA. Since 2013, his activities have focused on innovative concepts for container terminals. He plays a key role in the development of BOXBAY’s heavy-duty high-bay warehouses (HBS) and transport systems for maritime container logistics.
