After receiving his doctorate in mechanical engineering Jan left his position as research associate at the University of Siegen, Germany and spent his entire professional life as manager in the field of logistic handling systems for heavy loads. As such Jan has over 20 years of professional experience especially in technical solutions for high-bay storage systems.
2004: Jan joined the Metals Division of SIEMAG GmbH as project manager sales.
2008: Head of Sales Grinding Machines responsible for worldwide sales and product development.
2014: Project Director Sales for the newly established product area “air cargo terminal handling
systems”. Logistic core component of an air cargo terminal is an integrated High Bay Storage
System.
2021: Jan joined the sales team of the new joint-venture BOXBAY formed by the SMS group and the
global port operator DP WORLD in the function of a Project Director Sales: BOXBAY aims to revolutionize container handling in ports.
